Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 14 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use this website.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
Current status
This website has not yet had a full independent accessibility audit. Known limitations:
- Interactive maps are mainly mouse- and touch-driven and can be hard to use with a keyboard or screen reader. The same listings are shown as cards and lists.
- The home page uses a background video and scroll animations.
- Some content may not yet have complete text alternatives.
Feedback
If something is hard to use, write to E.G@aktera-gr.com and tell us the page and the problem. We will reply and, where we can, provide the information in another form.
Accessibility status and contact (update of 21 October 2026)
This update replaces the text above where the two differ.
- Standard
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, as referenced by the European standard EN 301 549 and the Israeli Standard IS 5568.
- Level reached
- Partial: the site meets most of WCAG 2.2 AA; the known gaps are listed below. Assessed on 21 October 2026.
- How it was assessed
- Self-assessment with automated (axe-core) and manual checks: keyboard-only use, visible focus, contrast, page language and direction, zoom and narrow screens, and reduced motion. Not an independent audit.
- Browsers tested
- Google Chrome, on a desktop screen and at phone width. Other browsers and screen readers have not been tested yet.
Adjustments made
- A link to skip to the content, a visible focus outline, and menus that open and close with the keyboard (Escape closes them).
- The sea video on the home page has a pause button. Other moving elements stop within five seconds, and the site follows the reduced-motion setting of your device.
- The page title, labels and reading direction follow the language you choose; Hebrew reads right to left.
- The points of the Discover map work with the keyboard (Tab, arrow keys, Enter). Street maps are optional; every listing is also shown as a card with its neighbourhood.
- Charts in the sample report have a text summary, and wide tables can be scrolled with the keyboard.
- Form fields have labels, required fields are marked, and errors are announced.
Known limitations
- The home page tells its story through scroll-driven video. All of its text is on the page for screen readers, but the visual sequence depends on scrolling.
- The optional street maps come from Mapbox, a third party. Their own controls are not fully accessible; the approximate area of each listing is also given in text.
- On the Discover map, at the widest view, some points sit close together. Each site is also a card further down the page.
- Listing photographs are described by property, size and neighbourhood, not photograph by photograph.
- The Greek and Hebrew texts are still being reviewed by native speakers, and some blog articles are in English only.
- The site has not yet been tested with screen readers or in browsers other than Chrome.
